Keep calm and stick the kettle on

There seems to be a very strong theme of Britishness everywhere I look. The 2012 Olympics and The Queen’s Jubilee has paved the way to celebrate all things British. This patriotism seems to be sneaking its way into our homes in the form of posters, cushions, furniture and even mugs (cup of tea Queeny?). Although being Australian I’m unlikely to get sucked into this Blighty love… However I could be persuaded by these Brit-inspired pieces:

February photo-a-day kicks off today

Its day 1 of the February photo-a-day challenge so there’s still time to get involved by clicking here. I love using my instagram app so that’s what I’ll be using throughout the month and sharing via twitter @sommerfruits. I’ll also be posting a round-up of February’s efforts on my blog at the end of the month. A couple of my friends are joining me, so I’ll be posting their  photos here at the end of the month too. I think it’s fun to get a little glimpse into other people’s lives and to see how they view the world on a daily basis.
