“Presumably, the creative capabilities of a craftsman are the same as those of a sculptor. A chair is not just an industrial product in space. It becomes form and space itself” Finn Juhl, 1952
Finn Juhl was a Danish architect, interior designer and industrial designer who would have been 100 today, 30 January 2012. He was one of the leading figures in Danish design in the 1940s and 1950s who was often referred to as the “Father of Danish Design”. His unusual style and sculptural pieces were acclaimed worldwide and propelled him to international stardom within the design world. His work today is being celebrated around the world and to read the full story of this amazing designer you can visit one collection.com
To honour this great designer I thought I would share with you some inspirational Nordic interiors. The first is the home of Icelandic interior designer Rut Kara.

Gorgeous Sommer! We are doing up our Paddo terrace and we love the Danes…
Hi Asia,
How exciting! Hope you get some inspiration from my blog and the links that I have provided to other blogs. Shame we didn’t get to catch up when I was in Sydney but hopefully I won’t leave it too long until my next visit. Good luck with your paddo pad x
